About Anne
Anne is a Melbourne based artist exhibiting in both watercolour and pastel. Anne grew up in North Queensland and, following a career in teaching, eventually settled in Eltham, Victoria in the late 80’s. Although art has always been her lifelong passion, she had no opportunity for formal training until the mid 2000’s, when she had tuition in watercolour with Bryan Fitzgerald and pastels with Barbara McManus.
Awards & Accomplishments
Anne is a Fellow of the Australian Guild of Realist Artists (AGRA) and is also a signatory member of the Victorian Artists Society, and the Pastel Society of Victoria. Her notable awards include:
2022 Victorian Artists Society “Exhibitor’s Prize” Artist of the Year Exhibition
2021 AGRA Medallion Runner Up “Terry Collins Award”
2021 Pastel Society of Victoria Annual Exhibition “Runner Up”

Artist Statement
Watercolour and pastels are my passion. Capturing the light and spontaneity of the moment is always the challenge. Mood and light are key elements.
